Nitoja - content management tool
Last modified 22.11.09 01:15:14
These pages are being administrated with my own content-management tool, Nitoja. It is designed for easy, blog-like use. Nitoja does not require any database engine, as it works with directories and files, thus it is also easy to move from a place to another. It is always far from finished, so it is not here available for downloading.
Some features:
- quick article creation
- interactive image uploading and embedding
- fully skinnable with css and templates can be rewritten
- administration in Finnish or English, also localisable to other languages
- easy WYSIWYG text editing using TinyMCE
- automatic image thumbnailing
- optional lightbox integration
- guestbook with administration and commenting support
- optional PHP rewrite rules for even simpler URLs
- easy one-step installation
Why use Nitoja?
- no sql server needed
- very quick to learn and administrate
- good for simple but constant content updating
- ideal base system for web page developers for producing small/medium-sized sites
Why not use Nitoja?
- no 'module' support, if you need a variety of features and functions, use something bigger, like xoops
or SMF or search the CMS matrix
- no support for multiple users or administrators
System requirements
- PHP 5
- GD or ImageMagick for PHP 5 (for image resampling)
Where can I get it?
